I hope Ellevate will no longer support his views. Trying to do it all and expecting it all can be done exactly right is a recipe for disappointment. It's unfortunate he's given platforms like a Sunday school class to provide justification for sexist behavior. When I asked if he thought perhaps he's denying women equality to them men in his office, he did not have an answer. Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf. I asked him about it after class, and he said he cannot be alone with a women without compromising himself. In a gentle way, you can shake the world. All opportunities for mentorship that he does not give to women under the guise that to do so would be improper. He went on to say he's comfortable with having one on one meetings with direct reports who are male, eating out and playing golf with them, even having them drive him to the airport. He taught a coed Sunday school class here in Dallas, and spoke one day about how he does not allow women who work for him to be in the same room or even hallway alone with him.
